Growing a Better Tomorrow

Springfield’s G.R.O.W. (Getting Recovery Options Working) Blitz program is taking the fight against opioid addiction to the streets. The initiative sees a team of recovery advocates from both the McKinley Hall rehab center and the Springfield Police Department going door-to-door in some of the city’s most at-risk neighborhoods armed with information on recovery resources as well as tools such as Naloxone that have the potential to save lives. The GROW Blitz team wants people to know that, if they are suffering from mental health problems or drug addiction, there is hope and they aren’t alone in their struggles.
